How to Fix Duo Camera Not Working on Mac

  1. Check Duo Camera Permissions
    • Navigate to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy tab.
    • Select Camera from the sidebar.
    • Make sure that Duo is checked in the list of apps that have permission to access your camera.
  2. Restart Duo
    • Quit Duo completely.
    • Relaunch Duo and check if the camera is working now.
  3. Check Duo Camera Settings
    • Open Duo and go to Duo > Preferences.
    • Select the Video tab.
    • Check if the preferred camera is selected from the Camera drop-down menu.
  4. Update Duo
    • Check for updates by going to Duo > Check for Updates.
    • If an update is available, follow the prompts to install it.
  5. Reset Duo's Camera Settings
    • Open Terminal.
    • Run the following command: "defaults delete com.duolink.client prefs".
    • Restart Duo and check if the camera is functioning again.
  6. Restart Your Mac

    • Once your Mac restarts, launch Duo and check if the camera is working.
