How to Fix Hangouts Camera Not Working on Windows

Check Hangouts Permissions
- Open Hangouts and click on the three dots in the top right corner.
- Select Settings > Video.
- Under "Camera," make sure your camera is selected.

Update Your Camera Driver
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the "Cameras" section.
- Right-click your camera and select "Update driver."
- Select "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check Your Firewall
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- Select "System and Security" > "Windows Firewall."
- Click on "Advanced settings."
- In the "Inbound Rules" section, look for "Hangouts Camera Access." If it's not there, click on "New Rule..." and create a new rule to allow Hangouts to access your camera.

Reinstall Hangouts
- Uninstall Hangouts from your computer.
- Download the latest version of Hangouts from the Google website.
- Install Hangouts and sign in with your account.
